Autumn at the Cat Cafe - Book Review

Kathleen Fuller’s Autumn at the Cat Cafe is similar to her Maple Falls series and just as enjoyable! This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys small town romances, city boy/small town girl tropes, or feel good stories. If you liked Candy Apple Kisses by Amy Clipston or the aforementioned Maple Falls series, you will love Autumn at the Cat Cafe.

Plot Summary

Via Dalton’s plans to expand her business into the building next door crashes when the deceased owner’s nephew, Leo Brewster, comes to claim his inheritance. Leo’s plan to sell the building and hightail it back to L.A. are derailed by his uncle's stipulations to stay Pecan Corner for thirty days and complete a set of tasks before inheriting. Leo enlists Via's help with the tasks and in return she ropes him into accompanying her as she completes autumn bucket list. As they go to pumpkin patches and make fall wreathes, they deny the feelings percolating between them. Because there's no point in starting something since Leo will be leaving ... right?

Personal Thoughts

This book had me longing for sweaters and apple cider. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I would like Leo, but he grew on me over the course of the story. Via's vibrant personality popped off the page and endeared her to me from the start. I loved how she called him Harvard Boy and he nicknamed her Smitten Kitten. I wanted to visit Pawsitive Vibes. Every cat in the cafe was a character, especially Sir Meow!
