In honor of Mother's Day, I thought it'd be fun to put together a short list of books with influential mothers in it! Moms are some of the best characters in literature and in the books below, you'll find mothers that had a profound impact on the MCs or are the protagonists. 1 - An Unconventional Lady by Sarah E. Ladd
When renowned phrenologist Thomas Bauer comes to lecture at the annual conference hosted by her father's school, Ella Wilde is subjected to old memories surrounding her mother's mysterious death and actions. Skeptical of the speaker's credibility, she agrees to sneak her old friend Gabriel Rowe in so he can conduct his investigation of Bauer. I know I've done this one before, but I love the story so much I had to include it again!
